White County slips past Lady Titans 1-0

Another cold night and another tough loss for the varsity girls. After allowing an early goal, the team settled down and began to play effective team soccer. Good ball movement and maintaining possession neutralized the White County attack for the remainder of the first half. It was evident as the 2nd half opened that the Lady Titans had dialed up the intensity. North Oconee camped out on White County's end of the field for most of the half applying constant pressure and attacking aggressively. Multiple corners and deep attacking runs provided a number of excellent scoring opportunities but, as is so often the case in soccer, the ball just would not go in the net. The level of play in the 2nd half will definitely be a positive building block for the team going forward. Next opportunity for a varsity win comes Tuesday night at Johnson High School at 5:30pm. Go Titans!!!
