Lady Titans let Wolves wiggle off the hook, Buford narrowly escapes with 1-0 decision.

Well maybe it wasn't really a narrow escape for Buford this past Friday. But 1-0 is 1-0!! There is no narrower a margin of victory in soccer. And what a team effort! On a sunny, but blustery and cool afternoon, every able bodied Titan contributed valuable minutes on the field enabling North Oconee to furiously fend off the methodical and steady Buford assault. The fact that the Wolves, by far the best team North Oconee has seen this year, could muster but a single goal is a testament to the Titans' tenacity, perseverance and refusal to give in. In a game where it seemed the Wolves were almost always on the Titans' half mounting deep run after deep run, no one ever let up or gave any less than their best. Hats off to the Lady Titans. Now to move forward with that same resolve and continue to play at that level. The Varsity Girls will be traveling to Madison County for their next match on Tuesday afternoon at 5:30. Let's go Titans!
