Battered and bruised but beating Buford worth it!

The JV Girls made it 4 in a row by taking down the Lady Wolves of mighty Buford High School 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Titan Stadium. The ref had barely finished blowing the opening whistle when Buford scored its lone goal, sending a wake up call the Lady Titans received loud and clear. The home girls responded by establishing an effective possession game and executing repeated offensive assaults on the Wolves' goal. Except for an occasional run by Buford's offense, North Oconee controlled the flow of the game and kept the ball on Buford's end. Andie Tiemeyer scored twice, once on a PK and once on a clean up shot close in. In between Tiemeyer's scores, Macie Clanton netted a goal on a long line drive from out front as she followed up a corner kick rebound. For those who might be worried, Anna Cobb's toe is bruised but not broken and Hollie Singleton seems to be unphased by banging her head on the goal (on offense!) Way to go girls!!!
